About Jeff

Jeff

At an early age I showed an entrepreneurial flair as I nurtured a thriving business selling blo-pops to other students at my junior high. While I was quite proud of my newfound success, it didn’t sit well with the principal who sent me home from school.

I was a strong student in High School and frankly thought I could get by with little effort once it came to college. Like many students, I devoted more time and energy to extra curricular activities than to my coursework.

I attended my local community college to play on the soccer team and for two years that was pretty much, all that I did (sorry mom!). Having realized that I had been wasting my time and my mother’s money, I decided to move to Phoenix, AZ to be in the sun.

My first ’sales’ job was a ’service writer’ for a local car wash. Essentially, it was my responsibility to upsell the customer from a “standard” wash into the various moneymaking upgrades we offered. By the end of my first year there, I knew I had a future in sales when I was brought into the managers office and informed the commission structure was going to be changed because I was earning more than the General Manager!!!

Everyday, I took it upon myself to find new and creative ways to get to know the clientele. I would keep a detailed list of my regulars and find out all the information I could about them -their wives’ names, their kids’ names, their favored restaurants, favorite sports team, what they did for a living, where they were headed on vacation and the like, just so we could have ’stuff’ to talk about (looking back and knowing what I know now, I was really just building tremendous rapport).

It was not uncommon for customers to become truly excited when I asked for their business card because I thought I might be able to hook them up with someone that might need their product or service. I was already viewed as an important part of their sphere of influence.

For example, one of our clients was a professional basketball referee. Through conversations, I found out he was looking for sponsors for an upcoming charity event. I knew that another regular client owned a local sporting goods store and was a HUGE basketball fan. The next time he came in, I mentioned that I may be able to get him a sponsor’s position at the charity event and he got so excited I thought he was going to kiss me.

That time in my life was the beginning of a very successful sales/marketing/ and entrepreneurial journey.

Looking to expand my experience and work within an industry I was passionate about, I went on to sell memberships for a fitness center in Tucson. I broke every previous sales record held at that gym. I was approached by a national fitness marketing company to come on board as sales rep.

At 21, I became a road warrior! I traveled every 40- 60 days to a new city to launch full fledged marketing campaigns for small gym owners. That year I produced over a million dollars in revenues.

I met so many amazing people from all walks of life and every occupation. While on the road, I started to notice some trends. Most of the really affluent clientele that had the nice cars, personal trainers, paid in full etc…were business owners. I quickly fell in love with the idea of owning my own business, but one problem…how???

About this time my mom sat me down and said, “Jeff, I know I said I we would help with your college but, NOT WHEN YOU ARE FORTY!!”–It was time to get serious.

So, that’s when I decided to go back to school and get a College ed-u-macation. I graduated cum laude (can you believe it?) from the University of Arizona with a double major in Entrepreneurship (U of A program is ranked #3 in nation) and finance.

The Entrepreneurship program was two full years of intensive studying. Every aspect of creating, financing, marketing, managing and selling of a business was covered. I was honored to have won the yearly Business Plan Competition.

During my career, I have worked in every aspect of a company: Business Development and Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, Finance, Accounting, Sales and Marketing, both domestic and internationally. I have also successfully run and sold two businesses.

Like many business owners I came to a point in my life where I asked myself, “is this all there is? Why am doing all this work? What do I really want out of life? What is really important to me?” and my focus shifting from just making money to making money in a purposeful way and creating magic moments along the way.

With a desire to impart what I had learned both in the University setting and the “real world”, I went on to become a speaker, trainer, and Peak Performance Strategist for the world renowned success coach Anthony Robbins. I currently use many of the techniques Tony taught me with my own clients to strengthen their mindset and to leverage business strategies.

My experience with the Anthony Robbins companies has afforded me the opportunity to learn from and work with some of the best in the world - people like Chet Holmes, Niurka, Dan Lier, Dan Kennedy, Jay Abraham, Roberto Monaco, John Sigman and many more.

Today I lead personalized and group marketing and sales coaching for small business owners who want to grow revenue to the next level and live a more meaningful personal life.
